We are a bespoke safari agency that crafts personalized adventures across Southern Africa, with a specialty in locating the Big Cats—lion, leopard, and cheetah—in their natural habitats. Founded in 2014 by Steven Kelly, one of South Africa’s leading lion experts, Wild World Tours was born from his lifelong passion for wildlife and conservation. Steven spent over five years working hands-on with big cats before meeting Mad Mike Penman from Animal Planet’s hit TV show Mad Mike and Mark. Inspired by Mike, Steven left the captive lion industry behind and dedicated himself fully to protecting and showcasing Africa’s last wild lions. Together, Steven and Mike have combined decades of experience in guiding, fieldwork, and wildlife filmmaking to shape Wild World Tours into what it is today.

What sets us apart is our access and expertise. We operate across a wide network of private reserves, national parks, and exclusive lodges, giving our guests opportunities to witness wildlife in a way that few ever do. Whether it’s tracking lions in the world-famous Kruger National Park, gliding along the Crocodile River on a boat safari, or walking through the bush with armed rangers, our itineraries are as diverse as they are thrilling.

Over the years, Wild World Tours has hosted international guests from more than 30 countries, including celebrities and filmmakers who came in search of Africa’s apex predators. Steven’s deep knowledge of lion prides, their territories, and behaviors has earned the company a reputation for near-guaranteed sightings—boasting success rates of 97% on 7-day tours and 100% on 10-day expeditions.

But our mission goes beyond adventure. At our core, Wild World Tours is about conservation and education. By taking guests into the wilderness responsibly, we raise awareness for Africa’s fragile ecosystems and contribute directly to the protection of wildlife and local communities.
